Eleanor Field Speaks to Students about Green Youth Manifesto
On Thursday Eleanor Field and her young Green team set up a pitch and the University of Bath to talk to students about the launch of the Green Party Youth Manifesto.
This manifesto sets out specific goals and pledges to improve the lives of young people.
The Green Party wants to build a better, more positive future for everyone and in particular, young people. We want that future to be safer, happier, more equal and more secure.
The politics of the future doesn’t have to look like the politics of the past. The Youth Manifesto is a selection of youth related Green Party policies, as well as information on the Young Greens activities to get young people engaged in politics. If you want to find out more you can read all the Green Party’s policies at: policy.greenparty.org.uk
Young people directly shape Green Party policy, as a result we have arguably the most progressive and inclusive policies, such as:
- The Credible Opposition to a Hard Brexit
- Providing Stable Housing for Generation Rent
- A Fairer Working World
- Education is a Public Good
- Economies for Future Generations
- Freedom from Oppression
- Protecting the Environment for Our Future
- Safeguarding our health
- Ensuring our participation in democracy
- Connecting us Through Improved Public Transport
Eleanor and Bath Young Greens will be back at the university on Tuesday 30th May, but if you are going to miss us, take a look at our Youth Manifesto here: younggreens.org.uk/YoungGreens/YouthManifesto
